ASKR Auto Parts
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
1. Who we are
ASKR Auto Parts ("ASKR", "we", "us", or "our") supplies automotive parts to businesses and individuals through our online store, our client ordering portal, and third-party marketplaces such as eBay. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you interact with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using our website, placing an order, or holding an account with us, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated as you use our services, and information from third parties who help us operate.
- Account details: your name, business or company name, email address, and password (stored only in hashed form).
- Order information: the parts you buy, quantities, prices, order history, delivery details, and any returns.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number — Stripe handles it and shares only a limited token and status with us.
- Marketplace orders: when you buy from us on eBay, eBay shares the order and buyer details needed to fulfil and ship your purchase.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and similar diagnostic data, collected through cookies and analytics.
- Communications: messages, support requests, and email interactions (including delivery and open/bounce events).
3. How we use your information
- To process, fulfil, ship, and support your orders and returns.
- To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
- To take payment and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To communicate with you about orders, service updates, and support requests.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve our website and services.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:
- Payments — Stripe, to process card transactions securely.
- Hosting and database — Supabase, which stores our application data on our behalf.
- Marketplaces — eBay, where an order originates on that platform, to fulfil and ship it and to keep stock and tracking in sync.
- Email — our transactional email provider, to send order and account notifications.
- Analytics and monitoring — privacy-conscious analytics and error-monitoring tools that help us understand usage and fix problems.
- Legal and safety — authorities or advisors where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers — a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. eBay marketplace and account-deletion notices
When you purchase from ASKR Auto Parts on eBay, we receive the buyer and order information eBay provides so we can fulfil your order, reduce stock, and send tracking back to eBay.
As an eBay developer, we participate in eBay’s Marketplace Account Deletion/Closure notification program. If eBay tells us that a user has closed their account and requested deletion of their data, we will delete or anonymise the corresponding information we hold, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart across our sites, understand how our site is used, and keep it secure. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the site works (for example, staying logged in or keeping items in your cart).
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide our services. We retain order, payment, and tax records for the periods required by law even after an account is closed. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
8. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if an issue arises.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must legally keep.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of non-essential communications.
10. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
